Last month we celebrated the festival of Diwali, the Indian New Year.

This festival is especially close to my heart. Diwali is known as the festival of lights. It's all about clearing out the dust and debris, old stuff you no longer need and decorating your home with flowers, candles and lights.  An opportunity to connect with near and dear ones and share special moments together.

But I so love the deeper spiritual meaning of Diwali- the idea of moving out of  darkness and into the light; out of ignorance and into knowledge and wisdom. It's been over 7 years of moving out of a dark, ignorant place into light and sunshine and that journey continues to evolve with each passing day.

I'm feeling the flow in all areas of my life: doing what I love, having time for what's important, freedom to travel and learn and grow, serving meaningfully and having time to savour it all!

Are you feeling the flow in the different areas of your life?  If not, is it your time to STEP UP? Read my featured article for how you can step up and get into the flow!

Wishing you love and light!

Had Enough? Time to Step Up?

Step Up
Time To Step Up

Is this you?

  • You know something has been off balance.
  • You see a pattern repeating for quite a while now.
  • It is showing up in your life more than before.
  • You just can't seem to find peace in that area (health, relationship, work, money, spiritual connection etc)
  •  You feel frustrated, annoyed, wishing you could finally be free, but it's still there and you are still stuck with it!

Do you feel like "I've had enough!?"

Lots of people, despite their stuck situation, and despite the feeling they've had enough, don't really take action and do what it takes. WHY? Because they are used to the stuck place, even though its uncomfortable. The "pain" is familiar. But the Step Up journey is all new. Changes are required. The path is unfamiliar. All sorts of fears pop up! Priorities need to be re-organized.  New challenges that seem insurmountable appear as if to test you if you really want what you say you do.

So, once again, have you really had enough? Is it your time to step up?  If YES, here are some tips  to STEP UP!

  • Give Up the Excuses

What excuse are you giving yourself for not stepping up for what you want?  Are you saying:

  • I don't have time
  • My work is so demanding I don't know if I can commit"
  • I have so many responsibilities
  • I don't have the money
  • It's not my problem, it's the economy that is the problem!
  • Its my work environment, my home environment that's not conducive
  • I have such unsupportive family
  • I don't have the right resources, education, certification!
  • I will get to it "soon", "later"

You always have choices. And you have excuses. To step up, you have to let go of the excuses and find a way out!

  • Believe it's possible

No matter where you are, how bad it is, how "impossible" the dream seems,  the one thing that will help you STEP UP to your dreams is to BELIEVE! The mantra to manifesting anything goes: First  Believe it, then you'll see it!

You can take  thousands of actions, and undergo lots of struggle and get only a tiny bit closer to the results you want. But when you truly have a strong belief in a something you want, it instills in you a monumental power of will, and many doors begin to open up for you. The inspiration to take action flows to you and it is too strong to ignore. Plus taking action on that inspiration does not SEEM to feel like "effort" and "struggle"!  Like magic, those things you desire make their way to you with what feels like effortless ease!

  • Trust Your Inner Instincts...

...to help you decide. You are born equipped with an inner guidance. An instinct, just like the animals, birds, bees on the planet. However we humans rely on everything OUTSIDE of us to come to conclusions and make decisions.  Its truly worth it to  begin to learn to use that inner guidance. Your INTERNAL GPS system. The more   you use it, the better you get at it and more you can find the answers within.

So, regarding this situation you are stuck in, what do you instinctively know you should do to step up? Close your eyes. Get quiet. Go within and ask "what do I need to do about this?". Don't over analyze it. See what comes up immediately?  That's probably the right answer. And it might not make "practical" sense, but it's truly is the right step forward.

I have made ( and continue to make) some very scary, out of the comfort zone decisions many times: out of the what I could afford money zone, out of the what seemed "practical" zone, and also what felt out of  the "time zone." (Yup I woke up 3 am Bangkok time one day every week  for almost 2 years  to access online training with my very first mentor in the US from 3am-5am). For me, always, the passion to get to where I wanted to was WAY stronger than the discomfort of playing outside my comfort zone. Magically now, I seem to attract clients like myself who  are no longer willing to tolerate the stuck place, ready to step up –time, money, energy, do whatever it takes to get to their dreams, and they are ready to step up NOW!

It's time to stop postponing your dreams. Your life is NOW!  Don't wait for a future date. Your future is based on what you are doing NOW! Are you ready to STEP UP NOW? Alan Cohen, a favourite author of mine says about making a decision: "If it's not a HELL YES!!!, then it's a NO. What is it for you?

If it feels like a HELL YES! Get moving. What's one tiny step you can take NOW?  And if that step involves reaching for expert guidance from someone who has been on this journey for a while, feel free to fill out www.eftthailand.com/survey and send it to me.

Testimonial

"I want to thank you Shalini for helping me eliminate all self-sabotaging thoughts about success, during our work together in 2012, and sharing with me the gift of EFT. The results are showing and today I recorded Sunidhi Chauhan, popular Bollywood singer, for a film. It's a song written and composed by me, which she appreciated too. God Bless You!"
