A brand new year is here!

I’m grateful that 2013 for me ended on a high note.

Celebrating the New Year and the Golden Wedding Anniversary of my parents in Jaipur, India, was just perfect. Having the opportunity to spend quality time with my family while exploring the majestic palaces of Jaipur, its awe inspiring rustic forts, its colorful traditions and its rich and glorious past, I could not have asked for a better way to say farewell to 2013.

As we move into 2014 I have clear intentions for what I want to create this year. Surrendering my hopes and dreams over to God, I know, as always, they will all unfold perfectly with ease and grace and perfect divine timing.

Are you clear about what you’d like to see happen this year? Read the article below for tips on setting intentions!

To your success and happiness!

What’s your theme for 2014?

ThemeIt’s that time again when everyone is making new resolutions and plans for the year ahead. Some are making long lists of specific things they want to do and accomplish this year.

Since the past year, I have been thinking of a general "theme" for what I want to see happen in the New Year instead of making weighty resolutions. I think of a "general theme" that sums up my intentions for the New Year. It’s what I intend the coming year will be about.

So for 2014 the "theme" that I came up with is... "upgrade".  It’s a theme I want to see happen in all areas – upgrade my health, relationships, finance, my home, my personal & professional life  etc.

I find that instead of being very detailed and specific, my "theme" becomes my guideline for every area of my life. Also, by not having very specific plans, I am open and ready for what shows up in my experience. I am able to go with the flow and embrace all the learning and growth that needs to happen. Amazingly, and always, everything works out perfectly in ways much better than I expected and at perfect divine timing!

What is YOUR theme for 2014? What is it that you want to FEEL and EXPERIENCE in the year ahread across all areas of your life? Is it Courage? Focus? Abundance? Peace? Alignment? Acceptance? Clarity? Etc.

To come up with the "theme" try the following:

  1. Reflect on the past year and write down the highs of the year; things that you feel happy and proud about in 2013
  2. Reflect on 2013 and see what were the "lows", the things that didn’t quite go smoothly, the areas that could be improved upon.
  3. Now, think of what are the KEY things that you want to see happen in 2014.

As you sit back and take some time to reflect and write this down, you might come up with an idea, a thought, a feeling that captures what you want to feel/see/experience in the next 12 months . Let that be your guide, your "theme" to help you stay focussed as you move forward in 2014.

"I am thankful to Shalini for helping me get over a difficult period in my life using EFT. I really think Shalini’s loving, warm and gentle personality was perhaps just as healing as the EFT tapping technique! I felt so much more able to deal with life after working with Shalini and would like to thank her for showing me how to help myself.  Not every therapist is a healer, but I think Shalini is a gifted healer. This is a precious gift and I am so glad you recognized it and chose to help others."
